September update

It’s weeks since I was last in here but that does not mean I haven’t been working.  I have taken photographs at different events and locations, always with colour in mind and in particular the assignment for this unit, some of which were more successful than others.  I have done the last activity in the unit which focuses on the effect that filters have on black and white photographs and I have also read another book; The Creation, by Ernst Haas, which I was able to find through our local public library, see separate reflection on that.

Time now to pull this unit together though and get my submission finalised and as always I have procrastinated on this, it could have been finished weeks ago if I had put my mind to it.  As always, the decision about which pictures to include and which to leave out hasn’t been easy.  I start with a clearish idea then begin to doubt whether the chosen few actually meet the set criteria and this unit has probably been the toughest so far in that respect. I am also, for the first time, past my submission date, must do better!!!!

About Anne Bryson

I live in Gloucestershire with my husband Iain and West Highland Terrier, Isla. I enjoy golf, photography and my grandchildren, not necessarily in that order! Having completed a 10 week digital photography course with the Open University in 2010, I decided I wanted to take my photography further and enrolled for the Open College of the Arts BA (Hons) starting with 'The Art of Photography' which I enjoyed so much that I went gone on to do Digital Photographic Practice and People and Place. In April 2016 I enrolled on my fourth OCA photography course, Documentary. This blog is my Learning Log for this course.
